A new blog design calls for inspired writing

Hello my dear blog buddies,

Let me start by thanking you for making your way over to my corner of the blogosphere. I surf the Web and read so many blogs every day that I know you have more than enough choices in how you spend your time online. I'm so honored you are here today, reading my daily musings.

If you've been here before, then you've undoubtedly noticed the new look on Mama Without Borders. I'm still working on some last-minute tweaks, like reloading all the blog links and other sidebar content, but the design is otherwise finished. What do you think?

The breathtaking design by Ellie over at Rainy Day Templates is challenging me to post more beautiful images and inspired writings to accompany all that prettiness. I know I usually seek inspiration when I do my daily read of blogs and I hope to provide some here, too.
W
With that goal in mind, I've been hard at work on two new features: Creative Moms series: These will be vignettes of creative moms in our midst. What inspires them? How do they fit in their work along with their busy lives as mothers?

Kids' reading nooks: A look at where kids around the world like to cozy up with their favorite picture or chapter books.

And, of course, I'll continue to show you some of my favorite places in Southern California as part of the "Tours" series, and to interview authors for the "Author Chats" series.

In the days to come, I will also be offering you a peek into some decorating projects I've been working on in my home, including my home office (pictured above). So, please come back again and stay a while.

I can't wait to read the first instalment in the Creative Moms series, what a fantastic idea. And I know I'll love the Kids' reading nooks, right up my alley!

(by the way: I promise I will post your interview asap now)
